Pittsburgh Steelers jackets represent stand for might, strength and hardwork. Thus, the team created a mascot and named it Steely McBeam.
Yes, the actual name of the new mascot is Steely McBeam.
Preceding to the 2007, Steely McBeam was introduced by Pittsburgh Steelers as their official mascot, as part of the teams 75th year of showing off their NFL jackets. The mascot’s name was selected from a pool of 70,000 suggestions submitted by fans of the team.
